Boys Soccer First Round Playoff Game Information


Grades > 9-12

The Boys Soccer Team will host Mt. Vernon in the first round of the state playoffs on Wednesday, April 17 at 6:00PM at Chris Hunter Stadium. The first 100 students will get in free thanks to the Athlete Booster Club. Sign-in will be at the tunnel. We hope to see everyone there! Go Tigers!


After School Swim Program- 1st and 2nd grade only


Grades > Pre-K to 8

Coach Frazier and Coach Watterson will be leading our 1st- 2nd-grade swimmers on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:15 pm to 4:30 pm through the fundamentals of swimming starting on April 23rd and ending on May 16th.

The fee of $96 will cover 8 practice sessions with coaches and a lifeguard (7:1 coach-to-swimmer ratio). This class will be capped at 14 kids per session.

Please note that parent pickup for the Swimming Club will be at 4:30 pm at the Darlington Swimming Pool. Parents will be required to come into the Huffman and pick up their child from Coach Frazier at the pool.


Commencement Brunch at Home-on-the-Hill on May 18


Grades > 9-12

As part of Darlington Schools traditions, all seniors, along with their families and friends, are invited to our Commencement brunch immediately following graduation at the Home-on-the-Hill! While we realize that many of you may already have plans for other Commencement celebrations, we hope you will join us if your plans allow.

9th Annual DarFarm Spring Plant Sale BEGINS!


Grades > Pre-K to 12

The DarFarm's 9th Annual Spring Plant Sale begins at 3:45pm on Monday, April 15th. Plants will be sold out of the greenhouse (next to the upper school science building) each week, Monday through Friday, from 3:45pm-5pm.

The sale will go until we are sold out of plants. We have a variety of sizes, so plants are anywhere from $1-5

Purple Tie Planning Kick-Off Meeting - Friday, April 19

Everyone is invited to the Purple Tie kickoff planning meeting on Friday, April 19!

Where: Home-on-the-Hill

Our committee of volunteers is what makes our events so successful! Are you creative or crafty? Do you have a knack for procuring auction donations? Do you love developing a theme or marketing? There are many ways (both big and small) to get involved, so please consider joining the committee. It's a lot of fun and a great way to connect with other parents and make new friends!

Save the date to attend Purple Tie on August 17, 2024! The fun event benefits Darlington’s parent organizations: Pre-K to 8 and Upper School Tiger PRIDE, the Fine Arts Booster Club, and the Athletic Booster Club.

Princess Night With The Varsity Cheerleaders-Registration Will Close 4/26

Come join the Varsity Cheerleaders for a Princess Night!

Who: Pre-K to 3rd Grade Students

When: Friday, May 3, 6-9 p.m.

Where: Thatcher Hall Commons

Cost: $50 per student

We will do hair, makeup and nails. Dinner and snacks will be served with lots of princess fun!

Soccer Academy Signing Day April 17th at 1:30 pm in the DBR

It is with great pleasure that we extend our heartfelt congratulations to these Soccer Academy Players for their remarkable achievement in securing spots to continue their soccer careers at the collegiate level.

The dedication, perseverance, and outstanding talent demonstrated by these athletes have not only brought pride to our school/community but also exemplified the true spirit of sportsmanship. Their hard work and commitment have earned them this well-deserved opportunity to pursue their passion for soccer at the next level.

We applaud them for their achievements thus far and wish them continued success as they embark on this new chapter of their athletic journey. Your determination and talent serve as an inspiration to us all.

2024-2025 School Supply Ordering Information for Pre-K to 8

1st Day School Supplies will be providing the opportunity for our parents to purchase school supplies for the 2024-2025 school year, which not only offers affordability, but convenience as well. You will be able to place your order online using our teacher supply lists.

 1st Day School Supplies offers superior customer service, name brand products and competitive pricing. 

The supplies will be delivered to school free of charge, and available to the students for the first day of school, for those that order before the June 30, 2024 deadline. Online ordering will not be available after that date.

2nd Annual TRI-ESP Triathlon

We are excited to present the 2nd annual TRI-ESP triathlon at Darlington!  We would love to have your help as a volunteer or buddy to a participant in the race!

Saturday, May 4, 2024 - Huffman Center pool, parking lot, track and Huffman patio

Athletes arrive at 4:00 pm

Race begins at 5:00 pm

Athletes and buddies will complete 1 lap swim, 2 laps bike, 1 lap run and CELEBRATE!

We will celebrate all athletes at the conclusion of the race!

FRIDAY - MAY 17 – Honors Day Program Honors Day, Location: Morris Chapel, 1:30 p.m. Parents will be notified in advance if their child is receiving an award.

FRIDAY, MAY 17 - Baccalaureate Service & Reception Baccalaureate Service, Location: Morris Chapel, 7:00 p.m. Speaker: TBD Seniors arrive at 6:40 p.m. - line up on the Zelle patio Baccalaureate Reception hosted by US Tiger PRIDE, 8:00 p.m., McCallie-Kennedy patio (rain or shine)

SATURDAY - MAY 18 - Commencement Commencement, Darlington Campus, Chapel Lawn, 9:30 a.m. (rain location: Van Es Arena of the Huffman Athletic Center) Speaker: TBD Photographer will take group photos on the library steps beginning at 8:00 a.m . - Groups will include an entire class photo, international students, 4-year boarding, PK-12 Students, Legacy families, etc. Sound check for choir and orchestra seniors, 8:30 a.m. Location: risers behind the stage. Seniors line up at 9:00 a.m. on the pathway to Home on the Hill.

DRESS CODE FOR BOYS:

BACCALAUREATE: Blue blazer w/Darlington crest* & khaki slacks. White shirt & tie/bowtie. Socks & dark dress shoes (no sneakers)
